Additional Online Resources

Q:    Where can I find more information about appellate procedure in Wisconsin?
A:    There are a number of publicly available resources that can assist you. Here are a few:
  1. The Wisconsin Statutes - Ch. 809 governs appellate procedure.
  2. The Wisconsin SPD has various appellate practice guides.
  3. The Wisconsin Court System also has publications regarding appeals.
  4. The Wisconsin State Law Library has collected a number of resources and provides links at its website.
While those guides should prove helpful to your understanding of the process, none of them will answer whether you should appeal. That is a question best addressed to an attorney who can better incorporate the specific details of your case into his or her knowledge of appellate procedure.

For those reasons, I recommend that you contact me by phone (414.963.6164) or email to set up an initial consultation so we can determine whether I can be of any assistance to you.
